I thought it would be only fair to tell you what the sign off initials I used in my last e-mail to you mean so you know I am not being spiteful.

(S)ometimes (Y)ou (B)ring (O)ut (T)he (B)est (I)n (M)e...
You use a lot initials as short hand and I am not aware what they mean..I guess I am long hand person..and a bit of a childish one at that!

Thank you. Its a bit warm and humid here on the Caribbean this time of the year for the brain to work at it's best unless motivated.

I guess the next question would be why over the intermediate to long hall bother messing around with fossil fuels for vehicles at all? We now have so much potential to work with in the relatively unlimited renewable sources. Even the storage technology is coming ..just needs some more money put in the various alternatives to competitive use.

California had the first Hydrogen Demonstration Appliance for refueling a hydrogen vehicle, converted it from solar electricity in the mid Eighties or early Nineties..it was installed in a Parking lot somewhere by a Canadian Company who at the time were the biggest producers of industrial hydrogen in the world..(alas like most good Canadian companies since bought out). We were so far ahead in the development phase of alternative energies and energy conserved back then because of what Jimmy Carter set in motion.
....its ironic that then came along another Wannabe Cowboy on his high horse..a Californian at that to scuttle all of the hard earned progress and leave us (on this continent) far behind particularly the Germans and Japanese.

Remember both of these nations had at the same time to rebuild their whole country's infrastructure after 1945..while we were living off the equivalent of 200+ (a figure I remember from somewhere?) energy slaves each!

And like you I was very much a part of this terribly wasteful age owning a 1929 Model A roadster of my very own in 1951 at 13 years of age.
I have made amends for my wasteful lifestyle..during these last 10 years, by choice going without a car!

Not owning a car is a Luxury if one lives in an appropriate Urban (in this case a Beach Town) setting.

Take care...
