Father Time....(where did you pick that moniker up?)
Most of the positions I've dumped over the last few weeks I've owned for 10+ years.
I'm not speaking of a quick point here. Normally, I'm in and out of puts/calls/whatever the same day. How many short-term traders still own puts from Wednesday?
Take XON. Nice stock....almost 10 bucks lower than last week, but fundamentally okay, I guess.
The point I am leaning towards
-- and try to understand, my point is based on the belief that the market will work lower...I tried to be clear about that ... If you disagree with that assessment, fine --
The point I am leaning towards, is why buy now if the market is going lower? If you bought IBM in the Autumn of '92 (I think it was) because it was in the 70s after being in the 100+ range, would you be pleased in mid December when it was 55 heading for 47?
If you want to look at next year---that's okay. But if you buy INTC at 80 today and next year it's 85, but hit 64 along the way, would you have been better off waiting? Absolutely.
