CJ, I get your point about inflation, but not your point about cutting spending, which will NEVER happen even with rampant inflation. Guys like RW, Alghieri, and bentway will want their SS checks, even if they're in no danger of becoming poor or destitute. Taxes will go through the roof to pay for all of this. Or government will enter some sort of gridlock and inflation will run rampant. Or both. You are making the assumption that government is quick and efficient in dealing with these problems, which they are anything but. Tenchusatsu
