They found 2 jumpseats as used by the stewies. Their belts were not engaged - means they were moving around in the cabin and no security alert had been sounded when 'whatever' hit.

There is another possibility......two of the flight attendants may have been in the crew's resting quarters. Apparently, on long flights, they rest in shifts. More and more, there is evidence that the plane didn't break up in mid air.....or maybe it broke only into two long sections and then fell to the water. The reason I say that is because passengers are showing to have fractures in both their upper arms and legs.......suggesting that they were in their seats with their seat belts fastened when they hit the water.
