Good post, Steve. The Austrian school emphasis on letting the business cycle run with minimal interference appeals to me, too. Keynesian style efforts to mico-manage things don't resonate much.

I have a question for you and Dale. Early economic indicators suggest the economy is bottoming out, maybe even recovering somewhat. And it seems to me that it's happening without all the billions in stimulus, since little of it has been released into the economy. (I'm excluding the billions that went to prop up the banks.) Am I wrong, or did I miss something this spring while we were doing some remodeling and I quit following economic news each day?

Does all the stimulus billions waiting in the wings need to be expended just to goose the normal recovery along a little faster? That's the basic question.
