Record Third Quarter Revenues

BOHEMIA, NY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 1997--

Third Quarter 1997 Revenues Increase 68% Over Respective 1996

Computer Concepts Corp. (NASDAQ:CCEE) announced today its SOFTWORKS subsidiary
reported record revenues of $6.85 million for the quarter ended September 30, 1997, an increase
of 68% as compared to revenues of $4.1 million for the quarter ended September 30, 1996. With
$17.8 million annual revenue reported to date, SOFTWORKS has surpassed their 1996 annual
revenue of $16.5 million.

Computer Concepts' President and CEO Daniel DelGiorno, Jr. stated, ''SOFTWORKS' record
third quarter performance is attributable to the increasing demand for their enterprise systems
management solutions including their suite of Year 2000 solutions, performance management
solutions, and storage management solutions. SOFTWORKS 2000 Arena of products is generating
marketplace interest not only because of its comprehensive Year 2000 capabilities, but also
because the arena will provide critical application management capabilities well beyond the
millennium.''

SOFTWORKS President and CEO Judy Carter stated, ''SOFTWORKS continues to outpace its
prior year's revenue results which is indicative of the continued acceptance of its new
SOFTWORKS' SavanTechnology (SST) product lines introduced at the beginning of the year.''

SST is a set of core technologies and R&D design strategies that produce products that help
organizations get the maximum return from their existing technology investments and cost effectively
manage their systems by leveraging staff expertise over a wide variety of platforms.

Carter stated, ''SST, coupled with SOFTWORKS shift from selling short-term licenses to
multi-year enterprise wide agreements, will continue to assure its impressive revenue growth.''
Carter added, ''Based on customer feedback to date, we anticipate the demand for
SOFTWORKS' suite of Year 2000 date conversion and testing solutions to accelerate in 1998 and
1999.''
