I'm aware of the single payer system that this administration is promoting. A system that allows the government (which has no profit motive to allow for fair competition) to compete with private enterprise ensures that the only remaining system will be the one run by the government after they run everyone else out of business. Then we will have health care similar to the VA. That is my point. The car companies are going to be the model of this type of endeavour. GM will not have to worry about making a profit since they will have deep pockets behind them. This will put all the others at a disadvantage and the people will be left with buying ugly lousy cars at a cheap price because all other car makers will have to compete on price with GM and will have to cut quality to remain price competitive.
