I remember it. I also remember thinking, maybe this guy won't be so bad. It sounded like he had a fairly humble agenda, and was going to continue Clinton's ant-debt efforts. Of course, he was lying through his teeth - OR - Cheney and the neocons hadn't turned him into their Golem yet. Will we ever really know?
