Re: " I wrote that most of us agree with these old ideas" But you are wrong. We don't "all" support PAYGO rules on budgeting, and a Balanced Budget Amendment for the American Constitution! Bill, (to name just one example, though there are MANY others here), is opposed. He is 'anti-tax' (according to him), but consistently refuses to support ANY of these structural reforms to put a final end to our long sad and THOROUGHLY BIPARTISAN history with chronic federal over-spending and borrowing. (PS... still patiently waiting for any other ideas that you might have for STRUCTURAL REPAIRS to solve this chronic problem. Haven't seen any yet.)
