As for going broke, CA can easily fix that problem by cutting spending. Per-capita spending has increased every year, even when inflation is taken into account. Most of that is due to voter initiatives, but voters also voted against raising taxes on themselves. Go figure.

Obviously you side with those who want to vote themselves a raise every year over those who see costs spiraling out-of-control. Think our society will survive that way? I doubt it.
