I'm hip to all sorts of smuggling routines. When I was just getting into smuggling pot in Texas, a buddy of mine used to drive across the border with his wife and baby to score a few keys. They'd party and tourist in Mexico a few days. He'd drive back with the keys under where he'd been tossing the dirty diapers ( pre-disposable ) the entire trip - they never searched THERE, and it was pre-dogs.

I've found some great spaces in my minivan. Underneath the taillights are a couple of sealed empty compartments big enough to hold a couple of kilos or 20 pistols. I have no idea why Ford put them there, but I appreciate it!
