Overheard: Icahn's Willingness to Talk When campaigning for election to a company's board, Carl Icahn loves pitching his story to reporters. It can be a different story once he is in control. The media was barred from Tuesday's shareholder meeting of XO Holdings. XO has been enmeshed in bitter litigation with a minority shareholder over Mr. Icahn's management. An XO spokeswoman said it was longstanding policy to close shareholder meetings to the press. Not so, according to Mr. Icahn, who says XO's decision was a mistake. "We let anybody in." * * * Another creaky time for the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. On Friday, electronic trading rocketed along as floor traders sat idle for 40 minutes as a server failed. This week, seven specialist traders from Kellogg Group LLC are being forced to hang up their colorful jackets. That brings the tally of NYSE market-makers to 152, down 16.5% since early January.
