microsoft problem. run chkdsk from dos. buy some crystallex. you probably have cross linked files and a bad sector. You will have to get rid of those files, after looking at them. run scandisk agin. always back up to zipdrive or tape before defrag. buy a 4 gige scsi fast and ultra with video capability Norton Utilities may be your only way out. echarter@vianet.on.ca
