Debt does not equal inflation. Factually and logically incorrect. The consequences to which you allude are possible, but not written in stone. If the US decides to impose Draconian measures by reducing expenditures, increasing productivity, lowering the standard of living and accelerating repayment, it can return to economic health --- in time. The question is whether the political and popular will exists to take the necessary steps. Jim
