Except for the facts the speech didn't end the Cold War Well, you and I will disagree about it. That courageous speech encapsulates an ideology that won the CW. So, I have no problem with crediting the speech with it. Meddling in Iran gives the mullahs an excuse to do what they are doing now. Not only that, it gives the Iranians in the countryside reasons to get actively involved, which isn't the case at the moment. Yeah, you don't have a clue. If you want to bring about a revolution, which the US should, of course, want, then you'd LOVE to have those in the countryside involved. And Obama is finally catching on; he did at least come out with a statement. The man is grossly incompetent and this incident is just more evidence of it. 4300 Americans have lost their lives next door in Iraq in this effort to bring democracy to the region. To have this nitwit president f*ck it up is pretty damned annoying.
