"That said, why don't you deal with his take on the consequences "
Predicting disaster by making projections from past trends is an old, entertaining and pretty useless endeavor. Sure, if spending increasing exponentially, it can trigger a collapse. Which is a huge reason why it won't happen. I know you like to believe that Obama and his advisers are a pack of morons. And I can understand, you did vote for Bush, twice, and that aptly describes them.

I wasn't the one who delved into hair-splitting, spinning, hand waving and eventually insults. I made my case and didn't change. You, on the other hand, are harder to pin down than nailing Jello to a tree. The 'adornment' thing is a perfect example. You harped on it, and continue to do it like I made some major error. It wasn't one. For one thing, 'jewelry' is a subset of the general class 'adornment'. Granted, it is a bit of an archaic word, but it isn't wrong in the case given. It could have been an artifact of my wife's education. In Germany, they don't teach colloquial American English, at least not when she was in school. They teach British English, and very well may have taught 'adornment' for 'schmuck'.
Besides, it is common to equate 'jewelry' with 'adornment' when going for a more formal tone.
