i've been listening to investor's edge podcasts and have enjoyed them quite a bit. he recommended william o'neil's new book revision of "how to make money in stocks."

i've enjoyed what i've read so far.

i'd like to have a forum for discussing the major trend (which is currently up) and any indications it may be changing (breadth is breaking down now).

i'd also like to have a place to share investing ideas and actual CAN SLIM or similar style investment strategies.

some thoughts include...

1. buy at support, sell quickly (1-2%) if support is broken. i see major support at spx 875 and 925.

2. short at resistance, sell quickly (1-2%) if resistance is broken. i see major resistance at spx 950. spx 925 might also work out well, too, but i'm gun shy going into quarter end (i think we likely go higher).

3. jump on some good chart breakouts. i agree with gary on investor's edge - gld is setting up for a breakout once gld surpasses $100 on high volume. my main gold play is ngd (i consider it a leveraged gold play) and i'll be adding tremendously once gld breaks out.

4. jump on some good chart break downs. i'm watching the reits and know that their relative performance has been sucking some wind. i played some SRS for a bit and was blow torched, so i'm a bit cautious right now.

5. let's share some other ideas.
