trig, we are $50-60 trillion in debt based on real accounting that every business in america must follow except the federal government.

review this site:

usdebtclock.org

and note that only about 1 in 3 americans works.

that puts the debt per worker upwards of $500k.

there is no way to recover from that except to have mass poverty hit the streets.

the government enabled the idea that people could spend more than they made and be OK when they couldn't make any more.

it will be ugly and my point is that if you think politicians will grow a spine and act based off of integrity then you are not living in reality. these political sociopaths only care about amassing personal power and wealth - the nation be d*mned.

i don't know the future, so everything i state is my opinion. i do think that massive inflation is a realistic outcome, which is why i refinanced out to 30 years at 4.75% when i could pay off my home now.

the time to pull ourselves up by the boot straps was probably a good 2 decades ago.

the math says that we are done, regardless of my feelings.

i'm saving for retirement and assuming social security and medicare pay me absolutely nothing - so i'm not the problem. i know the government promises are lies.

those that believe the government, though, are out buying crap and i'll be paying for their retirement and health care, too, while they don't even cover their own - many of whom will have made more money than i.
