I don't see anything there about a 47.5 day wait as a national average for anything. Is that buried somewhere else and is it the longest number you could find?

Seems the average wait (apparently to get an appt with a new specialist) is 20.5 days nationwide and thats gone up 8.6 days since 2004. I think we should certainly bear this in mind and resist more government encroachment in health care lest these waits become measured in months instead of days.

I do know my boss returned to the US from Canada with a serious back problem - in Canada he was going to have to wait 6 mos on an MRI. After he'd returned, he had his problem diagnosed and operated on in a shorter time than that.
