According to CNBC the best full service brokers have been swamped all day and the customers get nothing but busy signals, as well as all on line brokers.

Many (in paticular Chas Schwab) have suggested that their customers come in to the brokerage to trade.

So what is the big deal with Datek being slow, at least your trades and quotes come through, I have had slow quotes, but when I needed speed when the market turned around, and I needed to cancel a trade, I got it done, on Ameritrade, I also got it done but I didn't get a confirm on the cancel for over an hour. Plus it was very hard after the open to even log onto Ameritrade. I had little problems with Datek, Sure I had to change servers a couple of times, but you don't even have that option elsewhere.

Datek is not your mommy and Datek is not going to wipe your noses for you. The just provide one of the (if not the) fastest way to trade on the internet.

If you are losing money it is your fault, not Datek's and it darn sure ain't mine.
