Every native Texan knows about the Alamo and Goliad, yet none were alive then.

Well, not exactly.

Most native Texans "know of" the Alamo, but the number who could competently tell you the story is quite small.

But it is beside the point. Those who DO know the story of the Alamo would certainly not hold any grudge against anyone over it.
