No, History will see what the members of his own party see, and are starting to talk about. No conservative, Bush...just a prelude to big spending democrats. Heck, Bush should be relabed a democrat.

Corker: Katrina sent W "over the edge"
The Chattanooga Times Free Press on a Senator who thinks Hurricane Katrina blew the conservative out of George W Bush.

Sen. [Bob] Corker also responded to a question about President George W. Bush's deficit spending, saying Mr. Bush was "absolutely not fiscally sound in his leadership."

He said the former president is a "good-hearted person" and has his respect, but theorized that criticism about the government's handling of Hurricane Katrina pressured Mr. Bush to open the nation's purse strings.

"It sent him over the edge," Sen. Corker said.

Did the Rx benefit program come before or after Katrina?

Also, the blogs are abuzz about this Corker bit: apparently, he doesn't give a last call for boarding.
