The one thing that worries me about expecting higher interest rates is that EVERYONE is expecting higher interest rates. Just seems to easy of a trade along with long gold. It might all eventually play out that way but I think we're in for a really nasty countertrade first. (long bonds/short gold)

Edit: actually bonds and gold could go up together since lower interest rates would be dollar bearish and gold could play off that.
