Total BS. Hoenecker was watching his power slip away. Had been for years. Eventually, he lost control and the Wall was demolished. I was in Germany soon after the Wall fell. Bought a couple of little baggies with pieces of it. I also talked to some Germans. No one was giving Reagan credit for it. For good reason.
