Little Joe;

Okay, right back at you;

Well we have a great Military, but at extremely high cost and a great deal of waste.

Ya, I give you that one.

This is not a knock against police, who want to do a good job. It is a knock against a system that won't let them.

Want to trade with Mexico?

OK you win we do have nice libraries and as far as I know there is not a lot of waste.

Thanks

Both of these propositions are arguable in my mind.

But our food is safe and flying is by far the safest way to go. Something here is working.

And oh by the way most of us prefer Federal Express and UPS where available.

Where availiable. Sure you make the post office do all th rural remote places and give the cream to UPS - they should be able to do well. I don't think I have ever not gotten a piece of mail - surely never missed getting a bill! If I get a package they bring it down my driveway of a 1/4 mile. Could they do better in the post office itself? Sure - but my service is great.

We are unable to protect our borders. We have a tax code that is so complicated that the people who wrote it can't understand it, if they even bothered to read it, and, is grossly unfair and invasive of our privacy.

Yes I agree. Problem is we don't want to protect our borders. We want people to come up and work on the cheap and not have to provide them with health insurance. Want to close the border? Go after those who hire them it will stop to a trickle over night. The tax code? Yes abosolutely the most convoluted mess imaginable. But thats the fault of congress.
