"wouldn't it make sense for the government to do so. " LJ ... who has bought and paid for the food pyramid we see in school? The industry that profits when we don't diet/see the doctor/consume too much meat/sugar/fat/salt? Lobbying lobbying lobbying. How do you think a corporate-controlled gov't would behave? Our reps get reelected thanks to corporations, and so that is who they serve. It's the poor dumb luck of the States that millions of new people are trying to get free "care" in ERs around the country because they have no health insurance. That ain't the Federal Gov't's problem is it?
