Also NK is going thru first contentious regime change. A lot of this is for home consumption as well. Create crisis and war footing and stifle opposition to the new great leader in the wings. But in doing this they take great risks.
If US hit harbors and nuke sites, what happens to tripwire and Seoul? And what is end game for US. Can we beat them convincingly on the ground? Can we take out regime, assuming China not a problem.
