I can guarantee you that such contingency plans are already in place. In fact, both the Korean and the American militaries train in preparation for said scenarios. Besides, military service is mandatory for all Korean men.

That doesn't mean North Korea won't do something as stupid as firing a missile that happens to land near Hawaii. People who think North Korea isn't suicidal are assuming that the regime would act rationally and predictably.

The question isn't whether we'll win, but how many lives will be lost in the process.
