Ambrym, You said, "Zacks has just posted consensus estimate for this quarter. 7 cents. Less than I would have thought, last year it was 8 cents." I'm not surprised, but expecting an earnings surprise announcement next January. Eugene Melnitchenko of Principal Financial Securities, Inc. forecast in his 7 July 1997 Quidel update report $.07 for FY3Q, $0.11 for FY4Q and $0.16 for all FY98. Quidel's 4Q97 was $0.06. Jeffrey Holmes of Cleary Gull in his 8 July 1997 Quidel update forecast $0.20 for all FY98, $0.04 more than Eugene. Mike
