Digital tV is hdtv or sdtv. Then several resolution.

But, for broadcasting stations the camera is Mpeg2.

Now we see many DTV converter do Mpeg4/h.264 instead of Mpeg2 transmission. While there is no problem with Mpeg2, Mpeg4 is shorter in length of files and the DTV does not have the power and speed to convert into analog TV signals. So, we have many QoE problems with stations that started to use Mpeg4 transmission of motion Jpeg codes.

That is why QoE equipment had to support continuous audio broadcasting but skip video frames alternately or even every three frames. Other Mpeg4 schemes also need more time for DTV converters to do skipped frames to be watchable even.
