Regardless of how things are shifted, the end result should be that everyone is treated the same.

I understand that many have become accustomed to their special privileges, but it's really long overdue that we sweep through the tax code in all areas.

There are obviously those like GE, Boeing, the defense, farm, real estate and other industries who have a history of having special tax perks created for them in return for their political donations. These special cases will retain their exempt status until Americans tire of this abuse.

But not being able to fix everything is a very poor excuse for not equalizing what can be equalized.
