After some thought, the initiative provokes neither enthusiasm nor confidence.

Chopra displays an easy familiarity with current buzz words, with comments light on meaningful content. That's the reaction, which may be too harsh and premature, but there it is.

These observations may be an outcome of watching the new administration's efforts in other areas. There, one gets the feeling that the issues are understood in a broad-brush wonkish sort of way, but not in depth and not in the particulars. I also get the sense that this administration is not as adept as some predecessors in translating concept into reality.

It's still early days, and there was a truckload of critical problems that needed addressing immediately. Perhaps it's too early to judge, but one gets the feeling the new batter (for whom I would have voted) isn't getting all of the ball.
