That would make too much sense. We could buy it ourselves, at a fraction of what the illegal market and drug war costs us. We could make medical use of it as needed, sell medical morphine world wide, and stop the traffic to the black market. Junkies would be denied their habit and either clean up or move on to something else. After a few years, we could refuse to buy the excess, while subsidising food crop growth in its place, and the black market for heroin would have become dismantled. I wonder about that too.
