I'm sure the Crestor folks are joyous

So am I. I take the stuff.

You make a good point that JUPITER isolated CRP, which is a marker of inflammation (which, of course, is an important aspect of atherogenesis and interplays with other substances, including cholesterol, in the process). I believe you mentioned that you take statins. That means that you elected not to wait for many more years for definitive evidence and to follow the advice of your physicians. Imo, that was a good choice. I would expect that the next Jupiter which will include other risk factors in addition to CRP will be also most likely stopped early. Why would high LDL "help" a person with high CRP?
