why? because the lower income , no income, is where the votes are. democrats go for the vote, unions,, welfare, those who pay little or no tax.
if you continue to gain in votes you gain in power. Now democrats are back in power, supported by teachers union, which have been given everything, auto union which got a company for free. lower income that will get further tax deductions like paying no tax yet increased benefits.
one interesting comment this morning on cnbc or bloomberg cap and trade votes in congress.... 30 votes from democrats came from ny and ca. well in the senate they only have four votes. It will be a different atmosphere in senate trying to penalize mid west heavy industry, coal, etc agriculture.
i expect things turn when middle/lower income people find out they are losing benefits, increasing cost of living, and loss of independence. of course legalizing, millions of illegals form mexico and south america may just continue democrat power for a long, long time. |
