You should not rely on the news media for your information on this subject.

Most Iraqis realize and appreciate the fact they were given their freedom by us. What you see on the news media in no way is representative of the mindset of typical Iraqis.

Personally, I think they have every right to celebrate the day. They do become a true sovereign in many respects today.

Let's hope they can hold on to it.
