Hi Kayco: Yes indeed. So what are we to make of this? Perhaps the Chinese are simply "buying anything that is real", to reduce the mountain of US bonds it holds? Or perhaps they simply think the current downturn will be short-lived. OR............ Perhaps some large China-based market participants, making use of the massive amounts of liquidity being dumped into the Chinese economy, think they can drive certain metal prices into the stratosphere by soaking up the hard stuff and ensuring it is "out of sight".
