Thanks for your reply, Earlie. I heard Venerosa's expose several years ago, and I was not impressed.... hence my surprise at your reference to his "track record". "Perhaps a little early", you say !

I do not doubt that national stockpiling and hedge fund activity contribute to the volatility of copper and other commodities.. But I fail to see anything unusual or conspiratorial in that activity. I remember years ago feeling aggrieved by China's dumping of surplus copper on world markets to the detriment of my mining stocks.... so what else is new ?

As for buying puts, how does one do that without a futures account ? Are you saying that you are playing the copper market yourself, from the bear side ? Have you been doing so as long as Venerosa has been expounding his theories ?
Or is this just a current activity of yours ?
