So... you're willing to make major economic and environmental policy with ONLY 7% OF THE LATEST DATA??

That's INSANE!!

The argument I've been advancing is that we don't know enough and that major policy initiatives SHOULD NOT be implemented until more data is collected and models refined.

That doesn't mean we don't do anything. For instance, planting trees, oceanic fertilization, countering desertification.. etc, are all worthy programs that provide additional benefit to the earth's flora/fauna as well as humanity.

And if you can get all the people on this planet to reduce their CO2 emissions, that will be fine as well.. But you can handicap one economy and give advantage to another that's unwilling to implement your initiatives.

Especially when those intransigent governments point out that you are only taking into account 7% of the available data.

That's like having the IRS assessing taxes against you for the first 7 very profitable trades you made, despite the fact that in the other 93% of your trades you lost money.
