Major policy decisions shouldn't be based on hypothetical negative feelings. They should be based on facts and reason. It's just as likely warming the planet will be good for human beings. It wasn't long ago Manhattan was hundreds of feet under a sheet of ice.

Although I don't believe the planet is warming beyond it's normal cyclical averages, it seems to me it would be beneficial if it did.

Reminds me of something I thought of long ago regarding the differences between political parties. Liberal Democrats see the world through the lens of a glass that's half-empty, while Conservative Republicans see the world through a glass that's half-filled.

Why is "Climate Change" necessarily a bad thing? Change can be good or bad. And it's a fact the climate has been changing, rather dramatically for centuries. All in all, I think it's nice we live in a planet a heck of a lot warmer than the last ice age.
