my point is that there was extra focus on the western history when I was in school. Sure we got the Civil war stuff as well, but to give you an idea, kids in the 4th grade build a model of a california mission and then write a whole report on it. I doubt kids on the east coast do that.

I wonder what the east coast kids study in school that the west coast kids don't.
