1.) Climate change has been going for thousands of years.. It gets hotter. It gets colder.

Omygosh! Neither I nor the scientists who put together AR4 ever thought about that!

Whew... I can sleep more easily now.

Like duh to the second part. This doesn't mean that humans haven't been an important influence over the past few decades. Humans weren't very numerous before the 20the century, and didn't have the technological prowess that we have now. And yes to the first part--which is one important reason why scientists are concerned. When tipping points are reached, climate change can be very abrupt, sometimes within a decade or two according to the records that people have unearthed.

Finally, like I've told you before on the phytoplankton business--take it up with people who matter. I find it interesting, but I can't do anything with the information.
