You are very wise to fear this outcome. However fear of outcome doesnt make the catastrophic nature of last years crisis any less so. I can become a member of a new conserative party with guys like you at the forefront but these clowns on this thread---fuggetaboutit. They are a joke. And as you know, i have often said similar things about wackos on the left. Also the nature of the debate itself has moved left since last year and there is nothing you can do about it. Just like in 1980, it moved right. What we have now is the euro debate between capitalized socialism and socialized capitalism. Free market per se is now a dirty word because of guys like madoff and their enablers in the govt from both parties.. I am happy to consider the views of newcons but will not back off fighting the reactionaries who inhabit this thread.
