Ok, just for extremely mild amusement's sake, do you think you could cite 1 (one) of these alleged books?

There was some talk about it because in the 1960s and 1970s people had only recently discovered the ice age cycles that have prevailed over at least the past 800,000 and probably over the past 2m years or so, and discovered that the interglacial that we are now in was getting, by geologic standards, long in the tooth. That said, research continued, resulting in the view that CO2 emissions would overwhelm the natural cycle that was set in motion by orbital cycles, resulting in the 80s view that a dangerous warming might result, resulting in the formation of the IPCC in the mid-late 1980s to study what the research was saying about the causes and implications of that warming, resulting eventually in the current situation.
