Buffalo farts (BF's) do not compare even a little to the huge volume of NG that is pumped out of the ground in Balkans and mid-East. If 0.01% of this geologic methane were to be released into the atmosphere, it would more than make up for BF's. With mining, we can easily upset natural balances and we shouldn't judge the fizziness of club soda when the bottle is capped.

I suggest anyone who isn't concerned start to Google the release of clathrates which are at best metastable and always looking for opportunities for release. Methane ices in the tundra could release a lot of methane that has been bound up.

Geologic history has much to teach us. Even if you feel that man is not the cause of GCC, we'd still better try to do something. Everything "natural" is not good for you. Arsenic is a natural component of ground water worldwide, but as far as we can tell ZERO, zip, zilch is good for you. The attitude that "Well, there has always been arsenic in the water supply." is just silly. The same attitude about BF's is equally ill-advised.
