I don't get it. The guy bought a policy that provides for certain coverage and not other. He ended up needing the services that weren't covered.

Too bad. That's the policy he bought. So, now, it is everyone else's responsibility to bail him out of bankruptcy?

This is propaganda designed to suck in people who don't understand the issues.

When you buy an insurance policy it is your responsibility to know what is and what isn't covered. I've probably had 5 or so health insurance policies over my lifetime and generally haven't had problems with surprises. I don't see why others can't do the same.
