You miss the point, Bob. Biden will never be anything except a minor second fiddle to Obama. He has no hope of being president himself short of something tragic happening to Obama. And the way the Obama White House works, Biden has very little of public importance to judge anyway. What he does behind the scenes, we won't hear much about. His judgment is largely irrelevant when Obama makes all the final decisions.

Palin, OTOH, is idolized and lionized as the Next Great Thing for Republicans by many. So she will be under an intense media spotlight all the time, like it or not. And she really doesn't hold up well under that kind of scrutiny.

That's what many on the right can't cope with, so they blame someone outside their circles, the evil media. Believe me, any candidate that can't get on top of the media circus regardless, has no future in national politics.
