The more I read this the more interesting (ridiculous?) this looks. Cable companies already get an unfair advantage in per-signal charges, but after these price hikes the difference will only increase. One can only wonder how many cable lobbyists had a say in this. Apparently they feel that since they can't beat DBS in the marketplace, then they'll do it through our not-so-representative government. Anyhow, what other industries do we know of that are competitive and the government still sets rates? Ridiculous. No wonder the SBCA is up at-arms. This could get interesting. Wouldn't be surprised if some lawsuits resulted from this. Which way do people on this thread think this will go? Oh well.. at least DISH stock price seems to be holding up pretty well. But probably would have recovered more strongly today if not for this issue. DOM
