Geneat, potential reserves valuation is dependent upon what the buyers are willing to pay. I see those values of .50/barrel and I just don't believe it. I think the big cos have far more leverage in assigning value during the negotiating process than many think. I'm sure we strongly disagree, but my opinion is that aipn needs to go much farther down the "proven" road to negate some of this leverage.

What is wrong with aipn waiting for the data to come back and indicate billions of proven reserves before making any JV? Just think if their exploratory wells are all gushers. Aipn would be in a fantastic bargaining position.

Qdog scenario of a smaller JV to hand off exploratory costs is not only reasonable, it's exactly what I think may happen. I think I even mentioned something like this in a previous post as has others.
