Yes, if revenues fall and expenses increase, the country
will be destroyed, but Spoos could go to 1,000,000 in
that process, as a few zeroes are shaved off the
purchasing power of the currency. We are in that territory
right now, enormous bottled inflation due to all the printing.
Which makes it so hard to anticipate the direction of SP500,
since all that printing sure creates support for it.
The only thing I can think of is buy gold, agriculture,
emerging markets, etc.. Anything that possibly protects against
the destruction of the purchasing power of the dollar.
But I am already long a bunch of gold.
